Unlimited Energy Australia, in collaboration with Tesvolt Australia, SMA Australia and BayWa r.e successfully hosted the Tesvolt & SMA Technology Day at BayWa r.e. in Perth last week on 27 March 2025. The event brought together solar and battery professionals from across the region to explore the latest advancements in off-grid and hybrid energy solutions, reinforcing the role of German technology in driving Australia’s renewable energy future.
The training and networking event provided attendees—ranging from solar installers to energy consultants—with hands-on exposure to new technologies, practical system design insights, and the chance to engage directly with technical experts from both Tesvolt and SMA.
Introducing the TS-I HV E Series
A key highlight of the event was the official introduction of Tesvolt’s TS-I HV E30–80 and real-world case studies featuring the TS-I HV E80–100. These high-voltage commercial battery storage systems are engineered to meet demanding energy requirements both on- and off-grid.
Attendees were introduced to the standout features of the TS-I HV 80 E, including:
Black-start capability for backup power during outages
Active power quality management, reducing harmonic distortion and load imbalance
Scalable modular design, with up to four inverter modules and a footprint of just 0.54 m²
100% depth of discharge, 1C charging speed, and automotive-grade cell safety
Integration with the Tesvolt Energy Manager and myTESWORLD monitoring portal
Attendees also gained insight into successful applications of the technologies - examples include:
Thanks to technologies like the DynamiX Battery Optimiser, the TS-I HV E series offers one of the most durable and efficient energy storage systems currently on the market.
SMA Sunny Island X – Next-Generation Off-Grid Solutions
SMA Australia also showcased its established Sunny Island system and introduced the upcoming Sunny Island X, offering new levels of performance, flexibility, and ease of integration with battery storage systems such as Tesvolt’s.
The technical sessions provided a deep dive into system configurations, real-world use cases, and the role of smart inverters in stabilizing off-grid and hybrid networks.
Building Knowledge and Community
In addition to product training, the event fostered valuable connections among installers and professionals within the growing renewable energy ecosystem. Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, and technical discussions helped build confidence and understanding around deploying these advanced solutions in the Australian market.
With strong interest from the local market and growing demand for robust, scalable storage, Tesvolt and SMA are preparing to officially launch the Sunny Island X and TS-I HV E series into Australia soon.
